Twin-shaft concrete mixer BP-2G-1500 is designed to prepare ready-mixed concrete and large volumes of concrete for reinforced concrete structures.
The ready batch volume is 1500 liters.
The concrete mixer is a stationary drum having two shafts, with mixing blades located along them spirally. This provides helicoidal transportation of the mixture along the shaft and in the opposite side at each shaft. At the end of each shaft there are mixing blades located in the opposite direction to transfer the mixture to the opposite wall.
Thus the mixture moves circularly in a mixing tank, and when moving helicoidally it is turned inwards. This leads to a 3-directional intense movement of the mixture. To increase the percentage of relative motion both circles intersect in the middle of the mixing circles. There is a high turbulent area there, which amplifies the mixing effect.
Due to its design, the mixing element show high degree of homogenization (about 95%) which can be reached after a 30-second mixing at relatively low rotation speed of the mixing shafts (22 min-1). This saves energy, reduces wear and ensures gentle treatment of the mixture.
The twin-shaft mixer is discharged via a rotating door located on the axial side in the middle of the mixer body. The major part of the concrete is discharged under the action of gravity when the door is opened; the remains are transported to a discharging outlet by mixing blades. Therefore, the probability of demixing is very small. The rotating door ensures controlled opening and immediate closure without jamming.
Advantages of the twin-shaft mixer BP-2G-1500 compared with other types of machines:
- higher innage, mixing chamber is more compact;
- less surface is susceptible to wear under equal volume;
- on-load restart;
- partial load operation;
- possibility to cool down the mix with ice or heat it by steam;
- aggregates of up to 100 mm;
- prepares self-compacting concrete mix.
